ART BRANDING | CREATIVE PLACEMAKING
Culture counts. This message runs as a guiding principle through UNESCO’s cultural programme, which aims to protect and preserve cultural heritage, safeguard and promote cultural diversity, and foster dialogue between cultures. This is also reflected in the EU’s current arts and culture funding programme (€1.5 billion, 2014–20).
These are key framework conditions that have a positive, stimulating effect on both the macro- and micro-economy. In the macro-economic sphere, the attractiveness of regions is enhanced through art and creativity (creative placemaking and location policy). In the microeconomic segment, art branding creates sustainable added value for businesses. The symbiosis of artistic intervention and management theory creates new corporate identities and initiates a sustainable cultural and image transformation.
Using art strategically. The Viennese contemporary BURN-IN Gallery and think tank offers a unique, market-proven and scientifically validated concept that is precisely tailored to these objectives. Its unique selling point (USP) is based on the symbiosis between management expertise and artistic intervention. Together with 10 artists, several curators and management experts, the company develops and implements projects in both local and corporate contexts. IDENTITY, INTEGRATION and authentic POSITIONING are always at the forefront of this work. DIVERSITY and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) play a central role in the development of corporate and organisational identities. This creates sustainable value for local authorities, businesses and artists. The measurable RETURN ON CULTURE is reflected in both monetary (turnover, profit, ROI, etc.) and non-monetary (corporate culture, creativity, innovation, image, visibility) terms.
Profitable cultural transformation through BURN-IN.
ART IN ARCHITECTURE
Holistic communication also requires authentic corporate architecture, a ‘built identity’. The building itself becomes a brand ambassador and ‘communicates’ with its surroundings, telling compelling stories and forming a central component of the corporate identity. BURN-IN expands on the traditional concept of ‘art in architecture’ through the strategic staging of brands combined with artistic intervention, thereby creating new ‘architectural worlds’ that have a powerful emotional impact and attract attention. The BURN-IN programme comprises: façade art, artistic ensembles, installations, glass art, sculptures....
PRIVATE LIVING SPACES
As early as the 1980s, Faith Popcorn presented the megatrend of ‘cocooning’ – the ‘exclusive retreat’ into one’s own, perfectly staged living environments. The logical consequence: discerning consumers are focusing on creating unique living spaces, which are developed in collaboration with international artists entirely in line with their personal visions, usually outside the collective mainstream of brands. Art and bespoke interior design prove to be a thrilling elixir of life, touching the soul through their uniqueness and excellence. Individuality as a secret luxury. Life is a wholly personal composition.
