About the Exhibition

In the exhibition STOP.THINK.MOVE. BURN-IN presents three artistic projects by Isabelle Habegger (CH), Eva Pisa (AT) and Petra Traxler-Pilgram (AT). The focus is on movement and stillness, connection and isolation, as well as the question of how social changes can open up new perspectives.

The exhibition builds on BURN-IN’s ongoing exploration since 2019 of co | evolution – the idea of mutual development and adaptation. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, this question took on particular relevance in 2021: how do crises alter our relationship with ourselves, with others and with our environment? And what role do social, ecological and economic responsibilities play in this?

Petra Traxler-Pilgram explores the tension between movement and stillness through her animated figures, which draw on Viennese Kinetism. In this context, pausing becomes the starting point for reflection and creative potential.

Eva Pisa explores the interplay between isolation and family bonds in her work *Bindungen.Wurzeln*. Roots and connections become symbols of cohesion, mutual support and stability.

Isabelle Habegger approaches the theme from the perspective of nature, movement and sensory perception. In *Vom Flow der Persephone* and the installation *Klang der Natur*, she explores the relationship between humans and nature, as well as conscious and unconscious levels of perception.

Her presentation is complemented by the works *Idylle Africaine*, *Tempête* and *L’Insouciance*, which reveal further facets of her artistic exploration.

Three distinct artistic positions enter into dialogue, opening up new perspectives on stagnation, movement and change.
